Ally Electric & Solar installed 19 panels for us several years ago. Their calculations were spot on, we're saving a bundle on our pge bill. So last year, 2022, we came into some extra funds and needed some tax relief, and we contacted Ally to see what we could safely add on to our system. Again, Ally was spot on in their calculations, and recommended five more panels and a battery backup system. We got our tax relief and now we basically are PGE independent. Ally set us up for 50% self generated power, leaving the other 50% available in case of emergency needs. We run on solar during the day and batteries during the night. In addition, Ally made applications for SGIP with PGE which was approved, basically covering the cost of the batteries. We are so impressed with Ally, they did better for us than I ever hoped for.

The service and carry through by Ally certainly put in in a class by itself…we received all the government incentives, and what has been been a real surprise, is that we will pay off the solar system with our energy savings…two and a half years from the installation of our system.  

We haven't had a  energy invoice since Ally installed our system on top of that also receive a rebate, who can beat that? It's been exactly a year since Ally installed our 19 solar panels. We just got our PG&E NEM2 True-up statement, (with solar you pay your electric bill once a year, called true-up). $33.50 owed to PG&E. That's for an ENTIRE YEAR of electricity, running our household with an all-electric kitchen, a pool pump AND charging our two electric cars.

In addition, because we are getting our power generated by MCE, we have a credit balance with them of $281.43, (selling back to them the overproduction).

Going green sure has been advantageous, not just for the environment, but also for our pocketbook.

Our solar design and installation estimate from Ally was spot on, we'll recover the cost of our system in seven years. Can't get better than that.
